Welcome

Welcome to my gallery which I started with scanned slide shots taken in the late 1980's that have been scanned with a Plustek OpticFilm 7200 scanner.

I am slowly working through my many slides taken from the late 80's to the mid 90's to pick out shots to add to the many collections so please check for updates as the collections will be date recorded when last updated.

Having always been a railways enthusiast who started working in the industry as an apprentice fitter some 28 years ago at Tinsley TMD and also worked at many depots over the years after a long absence from the lineside I purchased a digital camera and started getting out and about again.

My first digital images were taken from the middle of 2006 using the Fuji Finepix S5600 which was replaced at the beginning of 2007 with the Finepix S9600.

In September 2007 the S9600 was replaced with a Canon 30D and Sigma 24-70 F2.8 EX DG lense which I have used for the last couple of years. These have now been replaced with the addition to the camera bag of a Canon 50D and 24-105 F4L IS USM lense which are now my main equipment.

I hope you enjoy my gallery and find the shots interesting and bring back memories of the past.
