Welcome to my gallery which I started with slide shots taken from the late 1980's that have been scanned using a Plustek OpticFilm 7200 scanner. The most recent scanned images have been cleaned of noise using Neat Image and sharpened using Picasa.
Having many slides taken from the late 80's to the mid 90's these are slowly been sorted through to pick out ones to add to the various collections. Please check for regular scan and digital image updates as the collections will be recorded when last updated.
Having always been a rail enthusiast who started working in the industry at Tinsley Depot as an apprentice some 26 years ago and worked at many depots after a long absence from the lineside I purchased a digital camera and started getting out and about again.
My first digital images were taken from the middle of 2006 using a Fuji Finepix S5600 and then from the beginning of 2007 using a Fuji Finepix S9600 which I still have but is now mainly used for family and holiday shots.
I have recently purchased a Canon 30D which is now my main camera but still getting to grips with the camera settings etc. and the images in the gallery from September 2007 have been taken using this camera.
I hope you enjoy my gallery and find the shots I have added as slide scans and digital camera shots interesting and bring back memories of the past.
